Serveral years ago (ten years, in fact), I battled with cancer and although I underwent surgery I and my husband opted against chemo and radiation therapy. Instead, we undertook to travel the natural, herbal route. I followed a regiem of detoxifying with a hebal suplement every day for the next six months and then once a week for the following six months. What I noticed, (to my horror), was that I started to sweat uncontrollably; sweat just poured from my underarms and I had to walk around with towels wrapped around me. I had always been a vibrant, healthy person and I had no idea that I had been carrying around so many poisonous toxins which were contributing to my declining state of health. I continued to cleanse my system with this herbal detox, against my doctors advice. I am thrilled to say that after six months on this system I was pronounced Cancer Free and I am cancer free to this day! I now realise that the sweating was the key to elliminating all the built up garbage and cancer causing toxins in my system. How much easier and healthier I would have been if I had had a sauna at that time. But that, unfortunately, was not an option as saunas, ten years ago, were very expensive and the only ones readily available were the traditional steam saunas.
Today we are blessed to have technological advances that make infrared saunas available to the public. We found this out when we purchased our first sauna. Due to a sports injurry that wasn't healling and general bad health my husband and I decided to purchase a sauna. This started us on a long journey of research and fact finding. (Our indoor saunas should never be used outdoors.) Our saunas are built with the best materials available with emphasis paid to design, comfort and performance.
Our North Star Infrared Ceramic heated Saunas are constructed with non-fumigated, 100% Canadian Hemlock which is hypo-allergonic and non-toxic. This is perfect for people who are chemically sensitive. Our Carbon heated Infrared Saunas are constructed with Canadian Cedar wood. All styles of North Star Saunas are constructed with 7mm thick wood and have double wall construction throughout. And all wood is kiln dried for 45 days. All interior and exterior finishes are water based and non-toxic. Tempered glass on doors and windows ensure safety.
We use the best 9.4 Micron ceramic Infrared heaters on the market because they are high quality, efficient and safe. They produce far infrared rays between 5 and 15.6 microns, the most beneficial for the body, with 9.4 producing the best micron range. The body absorbs far infrared heat at these wavelengths leading to the most optimum health benefits.
Our saunas are also equipped with other features such as soft touch digital controls, CD/FM/AM stereo, 35 watt interior halogen reading light, oxygen ionizer, and ventilation vents to allow for air circulation throughout the sauna. Our sauna features are listed on our products page.
