What wood material are our sauna rooms made of?
Our Infrared Saunas are made of 100% imported Canadian Hemlock-Fir. Hem-Fir is a perfect combination of strength and extraordinary beauty and is quite literally one of the most handsome, elegant and versatile softwood species combinations on the market today. Hem-Fir lumber is light and bright in color, varying from a creamy, nearly-white to a light, straw-brown color. Hem-Fir products are remanufactured into wood paneling, cabinets and trim, such as solid wood doors, shutters, case goods, furniture and more. Majority of our products are made of Hem-Fir. We do make our sauna rooms with optional Canadian Red Cedar to better meet our customer's various preferences.
What is Infrared?
Infrared (IR) radiation is electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength longer than that of visible light, but shorter than that of radio waves. The radiation penetrates the body and heats through a process called conversion, instead of heating the air around you.
What is an Infrared Sauna?
An infrared sauna is a sauna that heats its occupants with heaters that emit far infrared radiant heat. Unlike traditional Finnish Saunas, infrared saunas do not use steam, (which heats the air, and thereby the user) but instead use infrared radiation to directly heat the user and thereby, providing deeper heat penetration.
What heaters do NorthStar Saunas have? What are the differences between them?
NorthStar Saunas have two types of heaters: Ceramic and Carbon Fiber heater. Both types of heaters generate far infrared radiation. A Carbon Fiber heater is technology that emits a more even heat distribution at a lower air temperature. Note that Carbon-fiber heaters take slightly longer to heat up. What are the available payment methods?
NorthStar Saunas accept visa and master credit card through secured on line system, check, money order (10 business days for transaction clearance for check and money order), and phone orders.
How long is NorthStar Saunas warranty? And how is the after-sales service done?
All of our products have a 1 year warranty. We have customer service and technician help hot line 1-800-000-0000 for all customer inquiries. Parts and labor are available upon requests.
Can I customize or personalize my Sauna?
Yes, you can. But certain restrictions may apply. It could take over 4 weeks to complete the order, and order quantity over 10 units is preferred.
Will the sauna package fit through my door?
Our sauna rooms are packed into 2 or 3 cartons depending on the actual models and sizes and can easily fit through any standard doors.
